LAI MOHAMMED FACES FIRE FROM BUHARI

Lai Mohammad, Honarable Minister of Information

The name LAI MOHAMMAD has grown to be a domestic name in Nigeria because of the credible propaganda job he did during the Last Presidential campaign for his party APC.

However after all deeds was done, the party and the President deemed it necessary to reward him handsomely by giving him the post of minister for Information in his cabinet.


It is believed that the office of the minister of information,commissioner for information or Media aid is a sensitive administrative office, and when it comes to governance and professional way of managing Information in a political dispensation where criticism,propaganda, diplomacy and ethic is a key factor, the office should be concerned critical because one word from the minster can turn the whole country ablaze.


The Buhari led cabinet has been under serious tension on the way Lia Muhammad handles the office and its responsibility. Some people said ,”He has not been able to come out of the past( political propaganda) he played during campaign and as such he still talked as one.


People in the cabinet of President Buhari and APC chieftain had called on the President to release him of the responsibility and take him to the ministry of tourism where no body will be hearing his unguided speeches. The party chieftains and the cabinet members discussed this in their last meeting and has come to conclusion that he be deployed to the ministry of tourism.


One of the challenge Lia is having is that he does not have the professional ability to relate with the general public and as such,he is tagged by his co-ministers and APC chieftain to be “unprofessional formation minster” because of his professionalism, the people are calling him "liars" and the APC chieftains are not happy about it because they sees it to be a lapses that is capable of exposing the core integrity of the APC constituted government.


Source from the President said, Keyode Feyemi who is the current minister of solid minerals is to take over from the information minister because is a man of polite and diplomatic character, said the party chieftains.


Public sources: Lia Mohammad has not been able to differentiate between campaign propaganda and public relationship when it has to do with good governance and he has to be shown to way before he cursed this country another bloodshed, said Chika Nwagwu.


However, Lai Mohammad has not responded to the decision of the President and the APC chieftain, probably he felt it to be a shame to be the first within the cabinet to be relieved of his duty on the ground of incompetence and lack of professional ground.
