DAVID MARK DEMANDS BUHARI IMMEDIATE ATTENSION
The formal
senator president and the winner of the just concluded senatorial district rerun
in Benue south senatorial district has called on the the President for speed intervention on the activities of Fulani herdsmen in Aguta Local Government area
of Benue state which has taking the life of over 300 men in the community.
The senator
president said , it is painful that till this point in time, the issue of
insecurity is still on the high side in the country and the activity of the
fulani herdsmen kept rising dust in the northen part of the country.
He asked a
question: when shall this menace end?
He pleaded
with the deserted community to embrace peace while the government seeks lasting
solution to the problem. He also pleaded that the people should maintain peace
because dialogue is the only way to lasting peace and settlement of dispute.
The issue is
suspected to emanated from the crisis that erupted due to the victory of Formal
Senate president during the last election.

Report from
sahara reprt reaching us that villages like
okokolo,Akwu,Adagbo,Ugboku,Ocholonya and Aila were reportedly set on fire as decomposed bodies of those killed were scattered over the communities.
Source had
it that ”Obagaji, the local government headquarter and many other communities
where used to be hide out for the people during time like this in the past ,
have been deserted. And the people are fleeing into another local government
for safety.”He said”.
David Mark,
the formal senate president who hail form Idoma in Benue state urges the
president to mobilized army for peace and also pleaded with Nasarawa state
government to look for lasting solution to these devilish act that has come to hampered peaceful co-existance.
Local source
have that fighting is still on and many people are missing, properties damaged
while huge numbers of people displaced without facilities to house them.
David Mark
who issued a statement through his special assistance, Adakole Elijah, lamented
the non-stop attacks on the people of Agbuta and pleaded with the government to
station army in the areas to check any further re-occurrence of this ravaging.
