N-POWER Payment Suspended Nation Wide Says Mrs Betta Edu

 

 

 

The Minister of Humanitarian affairs and Disaster Management and Social Development says that N-Power payment is suspended indefinitely due to fishy activities in the payment.

 

Mrs Betta Edu say this while addressing News men on the development in his ministry.She said the suspension ids because of some irregularities observed in the payment of the Npower stipend and she promised that  once the investigations are carried-out and all necessary things put in place that the payment will start.

 

The Minister said that the Federal Government observed that Money that was released to the Consultants where not payed as supposed.

The Minister said that all the issues surrounding the payment will be soughed out and the Program will be restructured before payment can commences.

 

The Minister said they shall be using the Local Government to supervise the payment but she said is still work in progress and when all these are taken care of, they will start payment.

 

She also said that they are also considering the outcome of the New Minimum wage to determine the payment of the stipends.

The Minister also said that the Federal Government will also commence the payment of 15 Million Nigerians under her new poverty Elevation program and that will start by the 17 October  but they must check the register to ensure all the names are active people . 

She noted that they have observed that some people in the register may have died and such names shall be taken off the register for effective operation of the Program.
