Governor Siminalaye Fubura, Governor of Rivers State Promises To Revive Sungal Farm
The Governor of Rivers State Sir Siminalaye Fubura has promised to revisit and revitalised the Sungal farm in Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State as part of his campiagn promises to create Job for the Youth in Rivers State and to buid on the Vision of his Boss Former Governor of Rivers State Yesom Wike.
The Governor made this promise after a visit to the farm over the weekend.
the Governor in his pursuit to improve the wellbeing of Rivers people promise to diversify the Economic of Rivers State in Agriculture.
He sid , following the present situation in the country, that the Sungal farm will serve the state better and improve the Economy of the state when finally in operation.
The Governor said, thought the investment is a huge one, but the Government will see what they can do to revive the farm.
He also said, he will follow up of due stakeholders consultation before the farm becomes operational.
According to the Governor, when the farm functions, will reduce insecurityin the state.
An Agriculture Consultant, Charles Okoro, said the Sungal farm is capable of giving the State Goverment an Annual income of over #1.5 Billion when put in opeartion.
Mr. Okoro also advices the Government to take the Issue of Stakeholders consultation very seriously and ensure those that studied Agriculture should be given consideration in other to build capacity and professional operation of the multi-billion Sungal farm investment.
