APC Chieftain Supports Peter Obi Against Party Presidential Candidate, Tinubu
2019 APC Presidential Aspirant drums support for Peter Obi, Labour Party Presidential candidate.
Dr. SKC Ogboanna who contested on the platform of the All Progressive Party, the ruling party has dropped the Presidential candidature of His Party, Tinubu against Peter Obi.
According to Vanguard Report, The Eastern politicians said, Peter Obi is the arrowhead of Political revolution that will move Nigeria forward, as such, He drumps his support for him against his party candidate.
He also said that his decision is geared by patriotism and not sentiment.
In his statement, He said:"This move is consistent with my politics. I never allow the mere exigencies of ethnicity, religion, or party affiliation to becloud my judgment. As a member of the National Republican Convention (NRC), I crossed party lines to campaign for MKO Abiola, the flagbearer for the Social Democratic Party (SDP). I saw Abiola as a better candidate than the candidate of my party, Bashir Tofa."
To portray his point,decision which cuts across party , he said that “Though I remain a member of All Progressives Congress, APC, I must not support Tinubu, its presidential candidate in the 2023 elections. "The decision to endorse the candidate of an opposition party did not come easy. But there comes a time to say ‘enough is enough."
