South West Defected PDP National Chairmanship Contestants Pledges Not To Leave Party.
The just concluded PDP National Convention which saw the light of Uche Secondus graped the national chairman of the almighty PDP still cooked issues within the fibre of the party.
The South/West where grieved because of the conduct of the party election where candidates from the South West who believed to be the rightful zone to grapped the party first-man where suddenly exchanged for South South candidate.
However, the reconciliation committee of the PDP in a swift swings into operation to ensure there is no lost of membership and to build oneness and stronger force against 2019 pleaded to the defected South West candidates who feel relegated to keep the passed and work for the development of the party.
The candidates that contested the Chairmanship election from the South West are Bode George. Daniel Gbanga and Rasheed Ladoja.
According to Naij.com, Rasheed Ladoji said, "He has joined politic to make Nigeria work, and that he will remain in the opposition" While Daniel Gbanga says "stated that the South-west would do everything possible to ensure the PDP’s success at the 2019 general election .
The two ex-Governors made their point clear as they are not ready to leave the party. In his statement, Gbanga said, "it is too late for the South West leaders to leave PDP" this the leaders said in regard to the loss of their bit of National Chairmanship position during just concluded PDP National convention.
The ex-Governors pledged their support to help PDP win in the South West come 2019 general election.
These were said by the two Ex-Governors at different meeting led by Sereki Dick national reconciliation committee that the party has giving the responsibility to reconcile aggrieved members of the party.
The committee also visited the house of Bode George for same purpose. This the committee is doing to ensure a stronger and formidable opposition party come 2019 general election.
