NULGE Lists 23 States That Is Owning LGA Workers Salaries for 16 Months Above.
According to Vanguard report, 23 states of the federation that is owning Local government staff has been listed with the number of months owned.
The leader of NULGE has advised the governors to pay off the workers salaries before the union takes action against them.
He said that the grace given should not be taken for granted because the-after action may not go down with the states that are owning the workers.
Ibrahim Khaleel, the national president of the union, stated this in a statement issued on Monday, June 26, in Abuja.
He said that the governors should use the second payment of the Paris Club Loan refund to settle LGA workers to avoid mobilising LGA workers to shut down LGA's in any state that still own lga workers.
According to Vanguard, Mr Khaleel said that Bayelsa state is owing local council workers the most with between 10 and 16 months unpaid.
