Gokana People Hails Governor Wike Over Barako And Nwinbiara Communities For Conclusive Peace Talk.
The road to this two communities of Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State has grown into bush because of communal dispute between the two sister communities.
This dispute was as a result of Land dispute, where the two communities lay claims to one portion of land. This stood between this communities for number of years and the communities where dissected over the years and this incident has also increased cult activities in the environ.
The past Local Government CTC'S passed has tried to settled the both communities but all attempt failed and the people where living in untold difficulties due to the fact that they where refuges in their own land.
However, the newly appointed CTC, Hon. Louis Alawa, with the assistance of the Governor of Rivers State successfully joint the communities through due consultation and the communities has come to terms with one another to live together as one.
The Governor, while speaking through the representation, Hon. Louis told the people that "It is the will of the Governor, Gov. Nyeson Wike to develop Gokana and the entire Ogoni, therefore all should embrace peace and dialogue when it comes to resolution of dispute within neighbors.
According to Eenyie Kpegebor, SSA to the CTC Gokana,in his speech, he spelled it out to the youth that Rivers State Government has invested much Huge sum of money into security of Lives, properties which the govt expects peace and co-exitance in the entire Rivers State and for that, the state government will no longer holds it arms against any person(s) that will obstruct peace in the state.
The youths of both communities came together to clear the bush that has outgrown the communion path ways of the communities.
