It was observed by the audience at the birthday celebration of formal President of Nigeria, Obasanjo in Ogun State over the weekend.The two formal governor, sons of the rich oil producing region of the country has been in loggerheads since the formal administration due to political indifference.
The problem stated when the formal Governor of Rivers state was dethroned from the seat of president of Governor's forum.
It was another time of power tussle in Nigeria, the problem was a national issue because the both parties where not ready to shift ground for another. The defected Governor, the now formal Governor of Rivers State refused to accept the result claiming that he was rigged out of office. As a result of this, he labelled some governors to be part of the game that brought him down which formal Governor of AkwaIbom State became victim because Amechi saw him to be used by the formal President .
The tenure is finished but the pieces of the trouble still looms about among them. The formal president, a political stockholder and an elder states man noticed their reactions to one another during his birthday celebration and he pleaded with them to settle peace so that they can fuster development in the region. He further demanded that the should know that they no longer belonged to same party, so their is no need to keep malice any more.
Obasanjo told them that the past is past.
According the the formal president "Your actions here shows that all is not well between you and it must come to an end now" as his manners used to be, in his adverse he told them to quickly reconciled together.
According to naij.com, Sen Akpabio refused to exchanged pleasantries with Amechi, the minster of transport of the federal republic of Nigeria at the occasion ground which was obvious to all.
