It is gradually becoming true that the Igbos Believes in the Mass Movement of Biafra. The leader of the movement, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has told all faithful to observe and mourn the dead of their past faithful who were killed by the Nigeria military operative in the time past during the struggle.
Thought, the government of Nigeria is trying to bring fresh charges against IPOB leader for staging the movement which the government terms to be breaking of court order.
But His lawyer said that He has the right to his religious activities, knowing fully well that Kanu is a Jew, He is just Observing a Jewish custom today by praying for those that dead.
Another version had it that He went to Ngor where these people where killed for his prayers and He gave a vow that He will not stop until their blood had been avenged by restoring Biafra Republic, He said.
Streets and market places in the South East states are currently
deserted owing to the "Sit at Home" order issued by IPOB leaders in
commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Biafra war.
The residents
of the different states are scared of coming out to engage in their
lawful activities for fear of being attacked by the IPOB members.
The
different south east governors and the police have issued statements
assuring the residents of the different states to go about their lawful
businesses as there would be maximum security provided for them.
