The people of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Delta State in a statement, demanded that the Nigeria Army returns the Sword that was taking from the Shrine of their gods during their invasion of the community.

However, Tompolo has writing the President and pleaded with him to prevail on the Army to return what ever was taking from the Shrine of the gods of their land.

He said the golden sword is an aceint symbol of authority which the entire community can not afford to play with for any reason, "He therefore asked the Military through the Presidency to return what belongs to the gods", says Tompolo.

Chief Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, on Tuesday made a passionate appeal to President Muhammadu Buhari to prevail on the Nigerian Army to return the golden sword, which was allegedly seized by the military during the invasion of the area last month.

The ‘golden sword’, which is also referred to as the traditional symbol of authority, according to Tompolo, belongs to Gbaramatu Kingdom and was allegedly removed from the ‘Egbesu Shrine’ during soldiers’ invasion of Oporoza, headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom, in Warri South-West of Delta State.
