Insecurity is still a major problem of Nigeria since the past decades and the Government has not found lasting solution to this problem.

The gradual growth of the challenge has cursed the Country Billions of Naira lost to Security, shortage of Food supply and lost of Human development which in turned ground the Economy of the Country.

A source in the police command, told the punch that said Fidelis’ family grew worried when he did not return from his farm after leaving early Saturday morning, July 13, 2024. 

Unknown assailants allegedly k!lled a maize farmer named Ogar Fidelis at his farm in the Odomosibi area of Ijebu-Igbo in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State. 

 

 A search party was dispatched to comb Fidelis’ farm and the surrounding area.

 

The search party was shocked to find Fidelis’ lifeless body on the farm, with severe machete cuts on his neck and other parts of his body. 

 

The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the incident to the publication on Sunday said the corpse had been taken to the hospital for autopsy, adding that the investigation was still ongoing.

 

“We are not suspecting anyone yet. We are investigating the matter. We will know the circumstances after the investigation is completed,” the PPRO said. 

 

“In the meantime, the body has been deposited at the University Hospital in Ago-Iwoye mortuary for autopsy."
