Police Gbabe's Suspected Car Robber In Niger State

 

As Nigerian police declares low or no tolerance for crime in Nigeria by IG Usman Akali Baba in pursue to combat crime in Nigeria and along Nigeria roads, criminal elements are no longer seen it as business as usual.

"On 21/08/2022 at about 0800hrs, Police operatives attached to Tafa Division arrested one Emeka Umerah aged 39yrs ‘m’ of Onitsha Anambra State while driving a Toyota Camry vehicle with Reg. No. RBC 723 BH," the statement read.

Niger State Police Command has arrested a suspected armed robber, Emeka Umerah, and recovered a stolen vehicle from his possession.

 

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, said the suspect was arrested last month along Abuja-Kaduna road.

The suspect confessed to have connived with two others to snatch the car from the owner in Tafa Local Government Area of the state. 

 

"The suspect was arrested along Abuja-Kaduna road, at Sabon-Wuse area of Tafa LGA with the said vehicle and during interrogation, he confessed to have conspired with two others, one Uzor and Ego both presently at large to rob a victim at Garam village, Dogon-Kurmi Ward of Tafa LGA on 20/08/2022 at about 0200hrs

 

"He claimed that he was taking the vehicle to Kaduna for sale to one Zakari Kaura ‘m’ of Kaduna State. Case is under investigation as effort is ongoing to apprehend other members of the syndicate and the receiver."
