President Buhari Calls For Continues Unity Of Nigeria

 

 

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that about a million Nigerians were killed in order to maintain the unity of the country.

 

He said this on Tuesday, August 9, when he received former State Chairmen of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change at the State House, Abuja.

Buhari said: "Our main objective is the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We are human beings, we have our weaknesses and I assure you that the patriotism in us is hard earned.

 

"We have gone through all the troubles, from the first of January 1966 till date, you know what I mean by this. We killed about a million of ourselves in order to keep this country together.
