Asisat Oshoala, with her outstanding outing during the just concluded CAF Women competition in Morocco  where with her effort the team made history and she was named African Women Best Player for the fifth time , fallshot of the Women World player of the year after she was among the 20th women listed first by the UEFA.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest African female footballers of all time and one of the best in the world, she is the most decorated African female footballer of all time, and a record five time African Women's Footballer of the Year.

Super Falcons and Barcelona striker, Asisat Oshoala has missed out on the final three-woman shortlist for the 2022 UEFA Women’s Player of The Year award after the list was finally shortlisted.



 

 

Last week Oshoala was named in a 20-woman list of nominees for the 2022 Women’s Ballon d’Or, making her the first-ever African woman to achieve the feat.

UEFA has now announced Beth Mead, Lena Oberdorf and Alexia Putellas as the final three contendersfor the accolade.

 

 

Oshoala, who missed about seven weeks due to injury last season, finished as the Spanish topflight league’s top scorer, netting 20 goals in 19 games, tied with Madrid CFF’s Geyse Ferreira.
