Photos: Shiites Members Stage Protest In Abuja, Kaduna,Gombe And Katsina Defying Police Order

 The shiites protest that took the lives of a deputy commissioner of Police and a corper attached to Channel TV during their last protest was not pleasing to the Government following the lost of citizens and properties.
 The group has dyfied the initial order giving by the Police IG yesterday.

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria aka Shiites are currently carrying out its Ashura mourning procession in Abuja, Gombe, Kaduna and Katsina state, in defiance of the police.

The Ashura procession is an annual religious ritual carried out by the Shia Islamic sect all over the world on September 10th.

The Police yesterday released a statement saying the sect is still banned and any procession they hold will amount to the advancement of terrorism. See more photos of the Shiites in procession below
