National Stadium Lagos Under Sarge By Security Agencies Against RevolutionNow Protesters.
The #RevolutionNow protest that was scheduled to take effect today which has been greatly criticized by many Nigerians and as well supported by some is banned by Government and security personnel has been detailed to ensure no protest of such takes place in any part of the Country.
The rejection has been also supported by some Governors of the states.
One of the Governors is Governor Wike of Rivers State which gave an official announcement this morning demanding a total banned on the RevolutionNow protest with an outright order to all security outfits in the state to be on watch.
He also told the Chairmen of all the 23 Local Government Areas of the State to ensure that the order is taken to it letter.
Today, August 5th 2019 is the D-Day for the #RevolutionNow nationwide protest and despite the arrest of the convener, Omoyele Sowore on Saturday morning, organisers said they would go ahead with the protests
The protesters were scheduled to gather at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos but security agents have surrounded the Stadium in anticipation of the #RevolutionNow protest march.
According to reports, the security agents have the OP MESA vans parked around the stadium. The Operation MESA or OP MESA, as it is commonly referred to, is a joint Internal Security Operational platform made up of the Army, the Navy and the Air Force.
