The teachers union in Rivers state adopts Governor Wike for 2019.

The branch union of Teachers, Rivers state chapter in a solidarity visit to the Governor of Rivers state, Barr. Nyesom Wike in government house gave the banner to the governor following his developmental achievement and good welfare for the civil servant in Rivers state, more especially teachers.

The chairman of the Union,Com. Nkpogone Dumnaarah during a courtesy visit to the Governor declares this in agreement with his cabinet members.

The courtesy visit was also an avenue where the teachers discussed with the governor some basic problems they face.

He used the time to appeal to the Governor to see to the need of the teachers in the state. The chairman, Com. Nkpogone said that the issue of promotion and workers benefits is very important as incentives will propel their attitude to work..

The Governor lauds the teachers of the state of their contribution to the development of Education and humanity in the state, he pray God to reward them as no man on earth can reward better.

The Governor also plead with the teachers through their union head to take their work serious because the government will also and is trying their best to ensure quality Education in the state.

The Governor, Wike listed all the school projects his administration has undertaken to be what is needed for a better educational system.

He was pleased with the leaders of the union for how they have ensured peace and co-ordination among the teachers and the Government. He encourage them to support his government as he is committed to quality education and workers welfare in Rivers state.

The union chairman plague their support to the Governor come 2019 because they are happy with his developmental landmark in the state even with low allocation.
