Hon. Bariledum Gregory Nwiedam aka Greg happens to be one of the most influential politician in Khana Local Government area in Ogoni and of Rivers State. Greg has been a Bone-Man to Senator Magnus Abe, when ; when you thinks of senator Magnus Abe’s successful political carrier in this present political dispensation and you have not mentioned Hon. Grey, then that history of Senator Magnus success has not and will never be completed.

Greg, a successful politician who just turned 50 years and his Golden Jubilee celebration was classic and superb because of his kind of person and political approach to the rule of the game. He is called “Mene Yeriba One of Ogoni”.

He is a man that those not take a “NO” for an answer as far as politics is concerned. He knows how to curve in the impossibilities to achieve his aim and get his desired result.


Hon.Greg is the only man in the history of Khnan Local Government and the entire Ogoni that has enjoyed the privilege of Two tenures as an LGA Chairman even in the mist of the complexities of the political difficulties of Ogoni and Khana LGA specifically.


When He told his faithful and members of the then PDP of his second tenure dreams, they all laughed him like the Joseph of old when he announced his dreams to his brothers. But as a clever man and politician, a reader of time and season, a man that understands his purpose and dreams. He layed his hand on a need that almost crippled Magnus Abe’s political ambition which was almost dashed by the fact that senator Lee Meaba was already occupying the seat which He Magnus Abe Wants ( SouthEast Senatorial position in 2011).

Senator Magnus Abe was ready to do any thing just to get hold of that stool. Magnus resigned as SSG to Rivers state Government twice because of the magnitude of the challenge then, but Grey took over and leveled that maintain that stood like the tower of Babel before him, That was the singular hit track that saw Grey aka Hon. Bariledum Gregory Nwiedam the undeniable second tenure ticket since the history of Ogoni and Khana LGA.


However, Grey took the Job executed, finished, and delivered it and Magnus’s ticket was sealed after Grey has finished the primaries for him in Khana LGA which is the largest LGA in the senatorial district and Senator Lee’s LGA. That was when Senator Lee knew his time in the Senate has ended and Magnus senatorial race started with evidence and full hope.

There and then, Grey’s ticket was stamped and sealed even when a faction of the PDP demonstrated and delegated members to meet Magnus in his Office in Government house to show that they don’t want the candidature of Hon. Grey, it was just like the drammer of the thrillers: it is impossible to change him. Magnus told the people, with an affirmation statement that “even the candidature of their choice is his friend but his hands are tight”, “Grey is a bone-man”.

Greg’s first tenure was full of challenges that would have not seen him the second tenure which an average political analyst knows and that would have ended his carrier would have ended like others, but He got his second tenure bit and still enjoyed a high profile in the game till date as far as Ogoni/Khana politices is concerned.


Senator Magnus will still be missing him because of his advice,skill,wisdom,wallets and huge supporters.

More so, Greg as a politician tactician who has spank through time, when he stands by you, there is no atom of nowadays political display as those hungry politicians are doing today. He knows where the game will finally pins in the next few hours and his counsel are like that of Ahitopher, his wisdom like that of King Solomon.

Senator Magnus and Hon. Bariledum Nwiedam parted way when He told his master, boss senator Magnus Abe that the possibility of grappling the APC Governorship ticket is not seen, reason being that there is a cook game, but He ( Magnus) refused to see.

His reasons where recapped from what happened when they where all with formal Governor of the state that dropped the mantle for the then Governor.


Hon.Greg told Magnus that when they walked with Sir Odili, he gave state structures to Ameachi since He was supposed to be the Governor, but as far as till now, Ameachi has not giving him ( Magnus Abe) State and party structures that the tendencies of grappling the party Governorship ticket is not there, Grey told Senator Magnus But Magnus didnt believed him, so Hon. Bariledum Gregory didnt follow him to APC.

All that Grey told Senator Magnus came to pass and some of the sheath is what He (Magnus) still robbed and the odours, smiles steal follows him today.

I personally for see the mind of Senator Magnus Abe and I know deep down on his inside he still misses Hon. Gregory Bariledum Nwiedam, aka Greg, his smartness, political strategies has no reveals as far as Magnus Abe’s camp is concerned.

Taking a careful look at the men in Senator Magnus camp in Ogoni, Magnus does not have people he shared ideas with neither are there people that can give guidelines that can give you substantial results, they can not hit any track, records, they are all young breaths leaning the arithmetic of the game , I pray for them. The men in Magnus camp are all needy men that only knows how to constitute nuisance on social media with their propaganda.


Taking a close look at the past political history of Senator Magnus, He has been in sheath like this before in 2011, but Hon. Grey delivered him with his political arithmetic and the simple concept called “the Grey’s formular”. His formulas always break through the relentless Ogoni political strongholds and result is bound to come in favour of his work, like the one that removed the 2011 maintains for him, Magnus.


With due respect to senator Magnus Abe, sir, work with men not political Babies that could always be toss about, because wisdom, experiences, profile and wallet are the core rules of the game.

December 10th is at the corner, can this two gamer retrace back their steps and work together?? Can the youths of Ogoni/Khana work, vote with wisdom and giving peace a chance so that politics will not curse us to cry profusely due to loss of Innocent lives , can we shed our anger, partism, brotherhood and party interest and remember that we are brothers of one flesh and blood???


I wish them well even as the dee day comes closer than before.
