Rivers State Government Amnesty Saga, APC Accuses Governor Wike Of Deception In Ogoni Amnesty Program.

According to a Facebook Post by an Outstanding Ogoni APC media aide, has accused the Governor of Rivers State for deceiving Ogonis via his amnesty programm in the region.
He advises the people, securty operetive and the entire people of Ogoni mostly the opposition party, APC not to loss sight that the Government of Rivers state has combed the area of arms, rather is just a show.

According to him, Friday Kennedy, "Barely one week after I stingingly criticized Governor Wike and his smokescreen Amnesty Committee for protecting and pampering his own army of cultists, thugs, and urchins operating in Ogoni land and the entire Rivers South-East to keep their dangerous weapons until after the rerun elections in the area, the so-called "Amnesty Committee" yesterday in Gokana LGA responded by putting up a bizarre, distasteful and dangerously comic show in the name of amnesty "for the boys".

In a devious move of half-hearted hypocrisy and pure wickedness, the Wike government took comedy to horrifying proportions when it engineered a show of shame to bamboozle unsuspecting members of the public into believing it's empty motion that the amnesty committee has done its assignment perfectly in Gokana.

But if anything was perfect, it was the carefully choreographed art of deception. As usual with Wike's government, canopies were set, masquerades called , ogele boys paid to dance around and our hapless women mobilized to witness the drama while television cameras beamed the emptiness to the entire world.
When it was time for " repented cultists, thugs and assassins" to surrender arms and ammunition as it was done in other areas, a few bedraggled boys probably arranged from outside the LGA materialized from nowhere and walked aimlessly into the arena. And guess what they brought with them? Four Dane guns that their forefathers used for hunting in the 1920s; one sack bag filled with white sand; one piece of red cloth; two pieces of white cloth; one empty bottle of Chelsea ; one earthen pot; two machetes, two crocodile eggs, one white fowl; one bottle of kerosine and one camouflage belt. Please wait a minute. Of the seven LGAs in the Rivers South-East Senatorial District, Gokana has been the bloodiest in the past one year. Politically motivated killings in the LGA has reached its apogee. It was in that LGA that Dr Vyncent Eebee, a lecturer with the Rivers State Polytechnic and a chieftain of APC was gunned down by a gang of dare-devil gunmen with sophisticated weapons. It was in that LGA that Pappy Koryene, a member of APC was killed. It was in that LGA that Barieenee Court, a member of APC was gunned down. Hon Boris Neanwi, a chieftain of APC who was gunned down few weeks ago by a group of gunmen is from that LGA. On the 19th of March, 2016, during the rerun election, it was in that LGA that a truckload of gun men armed with rocket propellers, MPMGs and other deadly weapons bombed the INEC office in Kpor and in spite of the presence of men of the Nigerian Army, shot for almost two hours under the command of some PDP chieftains to successfully torpedo election in the LGA. It was in that LGA that militants ambushed men of the Nigerian Army who were on arms search and recovery patrol. It's in that LGA that one notorious militant warlord who has severally been declared wanted by both the Police and the Army control an empire of bad boys with limitless weapons in his arsenal. But that is the LGA Governor Wike's amnesty committee just carried out the wicked show you are seeing in the pictures below!
There is nothing surprising about what transpired in Gokana LGA yesterday. Weeks ago, credible intelligence leaked to people of the region that there was a clear directive that owing to the rerun elections coming up in the area, nobody in PDP's army of cultists and thugs should surrender their weapons for any amnesty. There is a serious political assignment yet undone, which is the "stop Magnus Abe by all mean crusade".

Since he was sworn-in, Governor Wike has never taken any action in the interest of peace and development in Ogoni land. Instead, he has directly instigated crisis and confusion through his actions and utterances in the area for his own political gain.

Fortunately, after the charade in Gokana LGA yesterday, no reasonable Ogoni man or woman is deceived. The police should not be deceived. The military should not be deceived. The Nigerian government should not be deceived. The present Rivers State government led by Wike do not want peace in Ogoni, and the security of lives and property of the people in the area mean nothing to him. Ogonis can die and perish in their thousands so long as that helps Wike's politics in the area. Yesterday's smokescreen was a deliberate ploy to deceive and cajole. It will change nothing because from nothing, nothing comes.
