Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs, today, paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu over the deplorable conditions of Federal roads in Abia State, including Port-Harcourt road, Aba-Owerri road and Ikot-Ekpene road in Aba as well as Ikwuano-Ikot-Ekpene road.
While welcoming the Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs led by Senator Peter Nwoboshi who called on him, the Governor decried the sorry state of Imo river bridge which is about to collapse, stating that if not tackled immediately, will impact serious negative implications on the health and economy of the people of South-East.
He called for NDDC partnership in the areas of road construction and also informed them of the quality of road his administration has embarked on constructing. He expressed joy that the visit would yield positive results.
