APC CRIES As
celebration rocks the streets of Abia and Akwa Ibom states following the
supreme court verdicts that upheld the elections of this two states, the OTI AND
UMANA factions where throwing into deep morning.
In God We TRUST. |
The
tribunal and the Appeal courts concealed the election of this twoo states, like
in the case of Abia State, the Appeal court ordered that Oti the APGA
Governorship candidate be installed the governor of the state.
The head of presidential Advisory committee on corruption has faulted the ruling of the supreme court that upheld the elections of these two states. The professor of law challenged the judgement of the supreme court headed by Justice Mahmud Mohammed, the chief Justice of the federation. In his opinion he compared the ruling to that of "King DRACO who gave same punishment to all" according to punch new paper.
He argued why will the apex court go against the ruling of the election tribunal and the Appeal court? He further said that same judgement was given to Rivers State in favour of the INEC Independent National Electoral Commission even when the lower court has given a different judgement.
He ended his opinion by saying that he will see how that is possible when they give their reasons for the judgement.
Though he was not the only person in this opinion, a Lagos based Lawyer also shared same,Mr. Jiti Ogunyor said that such judgement of the supreme court is sad to democracy.
No matter what people are saying, the PDP faithfuls of the favoured parties in the states are celebrating the verdicts of the Supreme court that upheld the mandates of this candidates.
As the favoured governors are still celebrating their victory, the losers are bittered over the judgement of the supreme court. Some faithfuls from AkwaIbom State told our reported the " UMAMA UMAMA banks is broken again". This is said to mock the APC governorship contestant in Akwa-Ibom state. He was seen to be a strong opposition that an average Akwabomite believed that He will swallow the gentle spoken governor of Akwa-Ibom state.
Some political analyst was comparing these two contestants and they concluded that Udom is the candidate for the state because he will continue what is already on ground (development) but Umama is coming just to adline with the central power as to drain Akwa-Ibom State all in the name of the power of the center, according to Punch news paper.
