SENATOR MAGNUS CAMPAIGN OFFICE

Monday the 22nd February was a memorial day in the political history of Ogoni Land as citizens of Bori runs for their life because of the shouting of gun from God’s knows where.

It was discovered that some gang of armed me dressed in army uniform entered the campaign office premise of Senator Magnus Abe,the APC South East senatorial contestant situated along Bori road near Birabi Memorial Grammar School , Bori.”The senatorial Campaign office which was build by the most Distinguish Senator to enable him reach his people was one of its kind”, according to Friday Kenneth.


According to Parry Saroh Benson, Spokesperson to Sen. Magnus in a statement said some armed men appeared to be thug are responsible for the act.


The APC faction in the area is alleging that the incident is masterminded by PDP faithfuls in the locality to diavert their support come 19 March re-run. But they said that they are optimistic that Magnus is their candidate will win because he has won their support.


However, the Governor of Rivers State, Chief Barr. Ezennwo Nyeson Wike has told the people of Khana and Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State to co operate with the security agency in the area because their duty is to secure lives and properties . And all the people that had fled their homes because of the presence of the military men should return to their homes for normality is restored in the places, said his media aid.

 The Rivers State police command has also accepted to be aware of the incident. The PRO stated this in a press statement issued on Radio station today on “Nigeria Info”that they have received report that the campaign office of Sen. Magnus Abe’s office was burnt down by unknown gun men. He promised that they will investigate the matter.

The big question most concerned Ogonis are asking now is: why will the office be burnt down, who are this people responsible for this un-Godly attitude, does this people have the development of Ogoni at heart, and finally, when shall the Ogonis be free from this kind of life styles to embrace peace and brother-wood that our fathers of old preached about .

There are speculation, however, the ex-militant popularly known as Osama Bin Laden is accusing Senator Magnus that he is responsible for the military invasion that pulled down his house last month. He claimed that he has no problem with any body neither the government because he has being granted amnesty by the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and no body has accused him for any crime, so he knows no reason any body will raised down his house and rendered him homeless.

It was gathered that the army invaded his house, destroyed his building, cars and took away his wife and siblings.
From a press statement that was issued by his media aid, he said the problem he is having is that he refused to join the APC party.
