Kemi Badenoch, Nigerian-British Politician Appoints UK Trade Secretary By New Prime Minister Liz Truss
British-Nigerian politician, Kemi Badenoch has been appointed as the new UK trade secretary by the country's new Prime Minister, Liz Truss.
Olukemi Olufunto Badenoch,member of the UK Parliament, is a British politician serving as the
Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of
Trade since 2022. She previously served as Minister of State for Local
Government, Faith and Communities and Minister of State for Equalities
from 2021 to 2022.
Badenoch, who ran in the leadership contest against Truss, was a minister at the U.K.’s leveling-up department until she joined dozens of colleagues in resigning from Boris Johnson’s government in July over his handling of a number of scandals.
