58 Years Old Bormet Governor, Joyce Laboso Died After Struggling With Cancer.

The 58-year-old Kenyan politician and Governor of Bormet in Kenya, Joyce Laboso is death, she died at Nairobi Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) two weeks after returning from a medical trip to India and the United Kingdom.

Governor of Bormet in Kenya, Joyce Laboso has been confirmed dead after a long battle with cancer.

Laboso was admitted for treatment at the Royal Madden NHS Hospital on May 29, where she underwent treatment for nearly a month before being transferred to India for further treatment three weeks ago. She was elected Bomet Governor during the 2018 General Elections when she floored the incumbent Isaac Ruto of Chama Cha Mashinani party.

The late politician, alongside Charity Ngilu of Kitui and Anne Waiguru of Kirinyaga, made history after being elected the first female governors in Kenya.
