APC 2019 Presidential Ticket Speils Fire Within The Party Chiefs

All Progressive Alliance, APC the leading political party in Nigeria is on fire as NEC and state Governors face out because of the automatic ticket giving to the President come 2019 general election.

It was reported that the Governors of APC has adopted the current president of the country, President Buhari who was elected by the party in 2015 general election to be their presidential candidate come 2019


Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, says there will be no automatic presidential ticket for President Buhari in the 2019 general election. Okorocha said this today while speaking with state house correspondents after he had a closed-door meeting with President Buhari.

Okorocha who was being specific about the presidential election, said if President Buhari decides to rerun for office in 2019, he would have to also campaign and contest for the party's ticket during the party's presidential primary election, says Okorocha

“We won’t allow the imposition of candidates. It must be democratically done. If President Buhari will lead the ship in 2019, it must be democratically done and I say democratically, transparently.”

President Buhari has not come out to say he would be seeking a second term in office.
