Oba Of Ijio Dies A Week After He Stands Trail In Court Over Illegal Possession Of Arm And Thread To Life

The Oba of Ijio passed on to Glory in a motor accident on Wednesday by 10pm. Before His death, he was standing trail in a lwa court for illegal possession of Illegal arms ans allegedly thread to life.

The story: He destroyed crops worth 10 million of Naira which he was ordered by the court to pay and also forcefully claim a pieces of Land from the owner.

Before his death, He was arraigned in court and his case was before a Magistrate court in Iwajowa Local Government area of Oyo state.

The monarch–the Amunijio of Ijio in the Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo state, Oba Okunade Adegoke reportedly died Wednesday in a road accident after his car collided with a truck. The Oba was driving himself from Iwere-Ile to his kingdom around 10pm Wednesday when he lost control and crashed into the truck. The monarch was said to be the only occupant in the car and died at the scene of the accident

According to eyewitness who arrived after the accident occurred said:

“From what we could piece together at the scene of the accident, it seemed the kabiyesi was trying to avoid a vehicle when he ran into the truck. Help did not come immediately and by the time he was found, he had died from his injuries.”
