PENGASSAN Suspends Strike Till Further Notice

 The PENGASSAN worker that was supposed to go on strike due poor services and the associated problems in the industry has suspended the plan strick because of the union has ben consulted by the federal government and has promised to better condition of workers in the industry.

The union also presented the issue of insecurity that the workers are exposed to due to the activities of the Niger Delta militants. However, the government assured them that the condition is under control as the negotiation with the group is on top gear as they hopefully believe normalcy return to the industry and the region and Nigeria.

This the union leadership told the workers as they suspend the strike in the interest of the nation.
The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, have suspended their planned strike action which was meant to kick off today July 7th. The union say they suspended the strike in order to attend a meeting with the Federal government on Monday July 11th. Outcome of the meeting will determine whether they will still proceed with the strike action or not.
