FCT High Court Grants N50million Bail To Gov. Fayose’s aide Abiodun Agbele

An FCT High Court sitting in Abuja, today, July 21, 2016, granted N50million bail to Abiodun Agbele, an aide of Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state. Agbele was arrested and detained in Lagos State in June by the EFCC, over allegations of aiding and abetting Fayose to launder N1.219billion he received from the Office of the former National Security Officer, Sambo Dasuki in June 2014.


He is being prosecuted by the EFCC for allegedly buying properties on behalf of Fayose from the money he received through former Minister of Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro. Along with the N50million bail granted, the accused will also have to produce two sureties of the Director Cadre in the civil service.
Also, the daughter of former minister of Defence bank account was reported freeze because of this case by the EFCC. Obanikoro is out of state but the hand of EFCC is still on his neck for this alleged fraud.
The commission has called him to come back to Nigeria for questioning but He refused for reasons best know to him.
However, people are suffering because of his refusal.
Today, the court in Lagos granted Governor Fayose aid bail to the turn of N500million while the case is still investigated by the anti-corrupt commission.
The embattled Governor of Ekiti State is also sued by the wife of the president Asiah Buhari for deformation of Character
