Chinese Civil Planes Successfully Land At Meiji Reef And Zhubi Reef
Two Chinese civil planes successfully landed at Meiji Reef and Zhubi Reef on Wednesday, meaning that China now has three functioning airports on the Nansha Islands.
The airspace over the SouthChinaSea is some of the world’s busiest. With the new infrastructure, the country will be able to offer better services in areas such as meteorology information, emergency landing, emergency rescue, oceanographic surveillance and environmental protection. Meanwhile, Yongshu Reef
Hospital was officially put into use in late June and the main construction of a lighthouse at Meiji Reef will be completed soon.
