Remuolumeni in Obia/Akpo Local government Area in Portharcourt has played host to Saipem Company for decades and this two partners has enjoyed good business relationship for years, but due to misplaced of values, there was a little misunderstanding between the community and the company management that resulted in closing down of the company assess gate thereby braking down company activities.

However, when the information got to the humbled servant of his people,Prince(Hon) Colins Onunwo, He visited the Paramount Ruler and the community to fostered peace .


The CTC chairman of Obio/Akpor local government area Prince ( Hon ) Collins.N. Onunwo has waded into Rumuolumeni and Saipem disagreement with a view to finding lasting solution.

Prince Collins Onunwo who visited the paramount Ruler of Rumuolumeni Eze Ndubueze Wobo Olumeni to find out the reason for the blockage of Saipem gates told the paramount ruler that the state government and Obio/Akpor frowns at blockage of company gates owing to the Economic meltdown and security situation in the country.

Prince ( Hon ) collins .N. Onunwo, while urging companies not to relent in their social cooperate responsibility to their host communities,charged communities not to take laws into their hands but to report or channel their grievances to Obio/Akpor local Government council.

The CTC chairman of Obio/Akpor local Government area Prince ( Hon ) Collins. N . Onunwo later addressed the protesting women and the Management of Saipem, where he assured that the issues at stake will be resolved. He immediately invited the management of Saipem and Rumuolumeni to an emergency meeting.
The community Chief and Elders promised peace and continuity in operation as they used the medium to appeared to the company to be of good help to them because the deserve it.
