The Governor of Rivers State leads the security operatives, men of the Anti-Cuilt Gang to Rumuolumini Community in Obio Akpo Local Government Area in Rivers State for mercilessly demolition of a building allegedly been used by cultist and kidnappers in the locality.
On Tuesday, Governor Wike in company of soldiers and policemen supervised the demolition of the home and hideout of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area notorious suspected cultist and kidnapper, Munachim Ihunwo in Rumuolumini community.
The governor stated that his administration has zero tolerance for cultism and kidnapping. He said any suspect arrested will face the full weight of the law.
He informed that the arrested suspected cultist and his boys have terrorized Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, creating insecurity in the commercial zone of the state.
According to the Governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, He said that He is determined to root out the strong holds of any unlawful activities in the state.
The Governor furthers reiterated that after the demolition, the government of Rivers State will build a Police Station on the said Land and a mini Barrack and this will serve as a signal to the entire public that the Wike led government have no tolerant for cultism and kidnapping activities in the state and by extension, the government will not condole with any form of unlawfulness or youth restiveness in the state, said the Governor.
Wike promised that his government will be on the neck of any form of lawless activities till they are completely fished out of Rivers State.
The Governor ceased the opportunity to call on youth to take advantage of his benevolence to enthrone permanent peace in the state by submitting all arms to the security services as the state government amnesty programm continues in the state.
He [leaded with youths involved in cult and Kidnapping related activities that hampered peace in the state to submit themselves to the state amnesty program and live a worthy and honest live because they are the leaders of tomorrow.
