He has been saddled with fresh responsibility though the same NFF has always being in battle with him because he had been employed and sacked so many times.
The 42-man list which has 22 players
from the domestic league with 20 pros from abroad does not reflect any
radical change from the squad Nigeria presented in the last six months.
Moses and Samuel did not play under Sunday Oliseh during his eight-month tenure as Nigeria coach.
NFF, LET THEIR BE NO FIGHT AFTER NOW !!!!! |
Adi, 25, who features for Portland
Timbers in the Major League Soccer was quick to express his excitement
at being called up on his twitter handle . He tweeted, “Glory to God. This is one of the best story of my life. Wao I’m invited 2 Super Eagles. Let’s
all make the nation proud.”
Siasia, who was named last week as Super
Eagles caretaker coach, appealed to all Nigerians to rally round the
team as the Eagles host the Pharaohs in Kaduna on March 25 and play away
in Alexandria on March 29.
The 22 home-based players are expected to hit camp in Abuja on Sunday before the overseas-based boys join them from March 20.
Siasia said, “I want to passionately
appeal to Nigerians, everybody, to show belief in the team and give us
total support. It will not be easy, but if we stick together and present
a united force to fight this battle, I believe we will triumph.”
Siasia told the board that they should allow him to do his job as is requiered, that he will will not want undue pressure from any body because this ia the only factor that is killing football in Nigeria.
However, the last crew is on the neck of NFF( Nigeria Football Federation) board for their outstanding payment.
